Sprout Microfinance is a collective of young professionals based out of New York City dedicated to raising awareness of, and providing loans for, entrepreneurs in developing countries without access to traditional financing institutions.

We believe improved access to financing for people typically excluded from traditional banking can be a key enabler of self-sufficiency.

To date, we have made loans to entrepreneurs in over 40 countries worldwide and continue to recycle every dollar in our loan pool as our loans are repaid, creating a positive feedback loop to reach more entrepreneurs over time.

We use Kiva, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to source our loans, which are structured without interest and typically repaid on a 6-24 month repayment cycle.
