A loan to help to buy fish, disposable containers, lemons, and cooking utensils, as well as pay for electricity and other expenses.
Maryuri Alicia and her family live in Las Gilces de Crucita, which is a small fishing village a few minutes away from the capital. In addition to fishing, the other main industry in the area is agriculture.
Maryuri Alicia is very grateful for the loans, which have helped to increase her sales. She buys fish at the beach from the fishermen who arrive because they always have fresh seafood that is of good quality. Maryuri Alicia purchases fish by the bin and brings them home to be cleaned and filleted. She preserves the processed fish in lemon and salt and sells them in disposable containers from her home to merchants and individual customers. Maryuri Alicia also delivers her products to customers’ homes and stores. She sells all of her fish scraps to the factories that make fish meal.
This loan will be used to buy fish, disposable containers, lemons, and cooking utensils, as well as pay for electricity and other expenses.
